The collaborative jukebox

Drop your song in the jar.

Put a "now playing" screen on the TV and a request page on every phone in the room. Anyone can scan the QR code and drop a track in the jar — it lands in your queue, playing on your own Spotify, with you still holding the volume.

For personal, non-commercial use on your own Spotify. A licensed-venue version is on the way.

Empty jar to full room

Setup takes a couple of minutes. After that it runs itself.

A1

Connect your Spotify

Sign up and link your own Spotify app. Your credentials, your playback — tunejar never touches your audio, it just fills the queue.

A2

Put the display on the TV

Open your display URL on the big screen. It shows the current track, what's up next, and the QR code guests scan to join in.

A3

Everyone's the DJ

Guests scan, search, and drop a song in the jar. Approve each one, or let requests drop straight into the queue — flip between the two whenever you like.

Everything the host needs

The controls a good host wants, and nothing a guest has to install.

B1

Approve or auto-queue

Vet every request in approval mode, or let songs drop straight into the queue in direct mode.

B2

Make it yours

Show your own logo on the idle screen and in place of the venue name while a track plays.

B3

Guest accounts

Requesters sign in, so you can gently block a troublemaker and they can see what they've played.

B4

Cooldowns

A per-guest cooldown keeps one table from hogging the jar for the whole night.

B5

Kiosk mode

Run a touch-screen request station with an on-screen keyboard — no phone needed.

B6

Nothing to install

Every surface is a web page. Guests scan a QR code; you just open a URL.

Common questions

Can I use this in a real bar or business?

Not yet — tunejar is for homes and private parties. Spotify's terms are for personal use only, so it isn't for commercial or public venues. We're building a separate version for licensed venues on a music service made for business.

Do I need Spotify Premium?

Yes — you'll need your own Spotify Premium account with music playing on a Spotify device at home. tunejar controls that playback; it doesn't stream audio itself.

Do my guests need Spotify?

No. Guests just scan the QR code and search — they never sign in to Spotify. They make a quick free requester account so you can keep an eye on who's dropping songs.
